Every AppSumo tier can connect its own AI provider key — your text goes directly from your device to the provider, and you pay them for usage (typically pennies per day for personal use). Actions run through your own key never use your monthly credits.

  1. Create an API key with your provider: OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google AI Studio.
  2. Open KeyShift settings and paste your key in the API key field.
  3. Done — all actions now run through your key with no monthly limit.

On Tiers 2 and 3 this is optional: your included monthly credits work with zero setup, and the API key is there whenever you want unlimited usage. Tier 1 requires your own key (it has no monthly credits).
