Now in 8 languages The interface is available in English, Italian, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic, with full right to left support for Arabic. Settings > Language, or leave it on Match system.
Better writing in every language Corrections now follow the rules of the language you are writing in: verb mood and tense, gender and number agreement, accents and diacritics, punctuation and spacing.
Build shortcuts on screen Click any shortcut to open a picker and compose the combination with your mouse. Useful when a keyboard does not report the full key sequence, which is common with multi OS Bluetooth keyboards. You can still just press the keys if you prefer.
Ctrl+K palette Your custom actions now appear alongside workflows, and Text from screen (OCR) is available under Tools.

Released 13 to 15 August 2026 · v1.5.20 and v1.5.21
Improved
The Translate to language picker is searchable. Start typing to filter around 100 languages instead of scrolling, and the ones you use most float to the top. Works in Ctrl+K too.
Asking a question now gets you an answer instead of a rewrite. "What does this mean?" no longer replaces your selected text.
KeyShift tells you what will happen to your text before it happens, and how to undo it after.
No prompt limit when you use your own API key.
Settings are fully keyboard navigable, and Escape closes a dialog.
Fixed
Typed triggers no longer delete text they were not asked to replace.
Ctrl+K no longer leaves a stray "k" in your document.
An empty result is treated as a failure instead of being pasted over your text.
The command palette now replaces text reliably, including in apps it cannot inspect.

New
The typed trigger is smarter: it acts on the text above your caret every time, instead of guessing.
A diagnostics log and visible errors. When something fails, KeyShift now says so instead of doing nothing.
The model dropdown is searchable.
Improved
Popups size themselves to your Windows text scale, so nothing crops at larger text sizes.
A simpler main screen, and a rebuilt login.
Errors that happen in the background now surface outside the main window.
A manual update check confirms when you are already up to date.
Fixed
Data loss in classic Windows edit controls, including Notepad. This was the big one.
Mangled pastes in Notepad++ and other Scintilla editors.
Popup geometry on mixed-DPI and multi-monitor setups.
The main window opening as a sliver.
Signatures and inline images are preserved when the typed trigger grabs a field.
Pin and Remove in clipboard history.
The capture overlay painting the panel near-black.
macOS: Chromium apps are now asked to build their accessibility tree.

Two big features landed in KeyShift AI this week! 🎉
Turn on live translate, pick a target language, and everything you type is translated inline when you press space twice — in any app. Write in your native language, send in theirs.
Dictation got a major accuracy upgrade: your speech is now transcribed with Whisper and cleaned up by AI so it reads naturally — especially helpful if English isn't your first language.
